TutoRIA winter semester program

Here is an overview of our current program for the winter semester 2025/26. You can get to know us tutors and fellow international and local students at events on offer in Munich, Bavaria and other parts of Germany.

City Rally

Wednesday, 16 October 2025 | 6 p.m.

Join us after the international get-together and go on a walk through the university quarter and sights nearby. While getting to know your new home, you can meet other international students.

Duration: 2.5 hours
Cost: free
Meeting point: Fountain at the Geschwister-Scholl-Platz
Registration: Registration is not necessary.

Regensburg

Saturday, 25 October 2025 | 9:30 a.m.

Discover the city of Regensburg, a UNESCO World Heritage Site nestled along the banks of the Danube. With its well-preserved medieval old town, Regensburg offers a fascinating journey through time. Join us for a guided tour through its narrow cobblestone streets, past impressive Gothic architecture, Roman ruins, and charming squares. In the afternoon we are going to visit the Landesausstellung (Bavarian State Exhibition) with a guided tour. Please bring something to eat and drink with you.

Duration: 8 hours
Cost: 5 euros
Meeting point: Hauptbahnhof
Registration: via our registration form provided by Anny (also used as booking system for libraries).

Please note: As many students already have the Deutschlandticket, public transportation tickets are not included in the participation fee. Participants are responsible for their own valid ticket.

Cologne and Bonn Weekend Trip

Friday to Sunday, 7-9 November 2025

Join us for an exciting weekend trip to Cologne and Bonn! Together, we’ll explore the impressive old town of Cologne with its famous cathedral and visit Germany’s former capital, Bonn. Highlights include a visit to the “Haus der Geschichte” museum, a guided city tour. Look forward to a weekend full of history, culture, and shared experiences!
The trip includes accommodation in a shared room at a youth hostel with breakfast, as well as all planned activities.

Duration: 3 days
Cost: 70 euros (includes accommodation and program)
Meeting point: Friday morning, 7 November, at the main train station in Munich (exact time will be announced)
Registration: via our registration form provided by Anny (also used for library bookings)

Please note: As many students already have the Deutschlandticket, local public transport tickets are not included in the participation fee – except for the journey to and from Cologne, which is covered. Participants are responsible for their own valid ticket for all other public transportation during the trip.

Isarphilharmonie - Concert Evening

Join us for an extraordinary evening of music and emotion! Students of the University of Music and Performing Arts Munich will bring Bach’s masterpiece, the St. Matthew Passion, to life in the stunning setting of the Isarphilharmonie. With a choir, baroque orchestra, and soloists on stage, you can look forward to one of the most moving and powerful works in the history of classical music.

Duration: 3,5 hours
Cost: 5 euros
Meeting point: Sunday, 16 November, 6:30 p.m. at the main entrance of the Isarphilharmonie (exact time to be confirmed)

Christmas Market on the Fraueninsel – Chiemsee

Come with us on a magical winter trip and enjoy the festive atmosphere of one of Bavaria’s most beautiful Christmas markets! We will travel by boat to the Fraueninsel and explore the charming island, its traditional Christmas market, and the scenic Chiemsee.

Nymphenburg Palace

Come with us on a cultural winter walk and discover the historical beauty of Nymphenburg Palace – one of Munich’s most iconic landmarks! We will stroll through the impressive palace grounds and learn more about its fascinating history. We will have a guided tour through the palace.
